Partly a resort, partly a sophisticated town, El Puerto has spectacular beaches on its periphery. However, its riverside town centre, with its palm-lined promenade, old fort, back streets of handsome mansions and excellent dining options, are El Puerto’s main draw. El Puerto is only a stones throw away from the wonderful Jerez, the world’s Sherry capital.
Jerez de la Frontera is the most populated town in the province of Cadiz. The traditional part of the town, is an easygoing place, with many old bars and restaurants, which goes hand in hand with the city of today. This has bustling shopping centres and important sports venues, such as a race circuit and the Montecastillo golf course.
